We have a vacancy for a part-time Dispenser to join our friendly team at Blake House Surgery.

We are looking for someone with a good standard of general education with an NVQ qualification in Dispensing and must be computer literate.  Please see Job Description/Person Specification.

Dispensary Duties

1. Ensure dispensing procedures are carried out, adhering to Practice Standard Operating Procedures

2. Hand out prescriptions and dispensed items and collect payment as necessary

3. Deal with queries relating to prescriptions, as necessary

General

4. Participate in overtime rota to cover sickness and holidays

5. Undertake any training necessary to ensure continued safe and efficient performance

6. Observe health and safety guidelines at all times

Person specification:

Essential

NVQ2 Dispensing and a good standard of general education
Practical experience of working in a dispensary
IT skills
Clear, polite telephone manner
Team working

are Looking to Appoint a Practice Nurse

Do you have experience working as a Practice Nurse and delivering a first-class service?  If so, we would love to hear from you.

We require a Nurse to manage a small team, long-term conditions, cervical smears, health promotions, baby immunisations and vaccination programmes.  There will be provision of holiday cover, as and when required, the keeping/ordering of adequate stocks of medical supplies/equipment, plus accurate record keeping using Systm1.

We are a small and friendly team with our own Dispensary, serving the local villages, agricultural and farming community of North Devon. 

Qualification Requirements:  RGN.

Hours:  32 hours worked over four days (Monday-Thursday).

Salary:  Dependent upon experience.
